Associate Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to join our dynamic team at YAP Pakistan. In this role, you will support senior project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects related to our digital wallet app, fintech products, and operational enhancements. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for fintech, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast- paced environment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, compliance, and marketing, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of projects, including defining project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
• Support the implementation of fintech initiatives, such as app updates, payment processing integrations, and user experience improvements.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and identify potential risks or issues, escalating them to senior management as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, product, and compliance teams) and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, including kickoffs, status updates, and retrospectives, to keep teams aligned.
• Contribute to process improvements by analyzing project outcomes and recommending best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from the State Bank of Pakistan and other relevant bodies.
• Handle administrative tasks such as resource allocation, budget tracking, and vendor management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in fintech, digital banking, or technology sectors.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Project Management Tools and Techniques).
• Understanding of fintech concepts, including payment systems, digital wallets, and regulatory compliance in Pakistan.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools like Slackor Microsoft Teams.
• PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus.
