Open a YAP Pakistan account

Who can open a YAP Pakistan account?

Any Pakistani resident aged 18 + with a valid CNIC and active local mobile number can sign up under SBP’s EMI licence guidelines. 

What documents are required at sign-up?

All you need is your CNIC, phone number and a selfie for digital KYC 

How long does account verification take?

We’ll finish your digital KYC checks and activate your account within 24 hours

Why was my application rejected?

If our compliance checks find a mismatch with NADRA data, SBP watch-lists, or required KYC info, we must decline the application by law. Get in touch with us and we’ll explain the reason and guide you on resubmitting once the issue is fixed. You can get in touch with us through here. 

Is there a minimum balance requirement?

No—keep PKR 0 if you like.

Cards & Payments

When will I receive my debit card?

Your virtual card appears instantly after verification; the physical card arrives within 3-5 working days. You can track the delivery within the YAP Pakistan app 

Where can I use my YAP card?

Anywhere PayPak is accepted—locally, in-store or online.

Can I add my card to Apple Pay or Google Wallet?

Mobile wallets are coming soon; watch for announcements.

Security & Fraud protection

How do I freeze a lost card?

Tap **Cards › Freeze Card** to block spending instantly; unfreeze anytime.

How do I report a suspicious transaction?

Go to **Cards › Select card › Report lost or stolen**. This locks the card and flags the activity for review. If you don’t have app access, email **help@yappakistan.com** with your registered details

Pricing & Limits

Is YAP Pakistan free to use?

Yes—everything in the app today is free. Premium add-ons, such as YAP Young and other extras, will launch soon

Can my balance go negative?

No—transactions decline once you hit PKR 0.

What is my monthly wallet load limit?

CNIC-verified wallets: PKR 50,000 per month. Biometric-verified wallets: PKR 400,000 per month.

App & Account management

Do I need internet to use the app?

Yes. Real-time data keeps your balance and security alerts up to date.

How do I invite friends to YAP?

Open **Main Menu › Refer a Friend**, then pick WhatsApp, SMS or any app to share your personal link. Your friend downloads the app in one tap

How do I contact YAP support?

Tap **Main Menu › Live Chat** to start a conversation with our support team. If you can’t access the app, email **help@yappakistan.com** and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Does YAP have physical branches?

No branches. All services are digital; our head office is in Lahore.
